The three wire tiers differ in reach and in how the release is delivered: a search-visible footprint, guaranteed targeted placements, or the national wire reporters treat as the official record.
Syndication is a different product. A wire release is a page carrying your words on distribution sites. Syndication is an editorial story that publishers choose to run on their own domains — earned pickups rather than paid placement pages, which is exactly the kind of source AI assistants learn from and cite. Pickups accrue over about a month rather than appearing at once.
If your goal is “be in the AI answer”, that’s syndication and GEO, not a wire release.
