Elizabeth Marshall is a feminist critic of popular culture. Her areas of expertise include childhood, education, motherhood, and U.S. drinking culture. She is the author of "The Drinking Curriculum: A Cultural History of Childhood and Alcohol," Graphic Girlhoods: Visualizing Education and Violence," and co-author of "Witnessing Girlhood." She edited "Rethinking Popular Culture and Media" for Rethinking Schools. A versatile writer, her essays and book reviews have been published in academic journals as well as in Time Magazine, Pop Matters, Rethinking Schools, and The Conversation.
