People may believe that wellness coaches offer simple solutions to basic health conditions like high blood pressure, stress, insomnia, or back pain. The truth is, wellness coaches treat many conditions from anxiety to transitions to relationship challenges. In addition, many wellness coaches offer multiple tools, such as somatics, yoga, energy work, breath work, etc. rather than just talking sessions. My advice is to search for a specific coach who treats the condition(s) you are seeking help for and uses a variety of modalities for the most comprehensive and effective treatment.
A common misconception is that wellness coaching is only about fitness, but it actually focuses on a holistic approach, including mental, emotional, and lifestyle aspects. I address this by explaining to potential clients that coaching helps them build sustainable habits for overall well-being, not just physical health. It's about empowering them to achieve balance in all areas of life, which creates long-term results.
