We always try to persuade customers to let us do the necessary work to bring an installation up to code. In many cases cost can be an issue. In those cases I will speak to the inspector directly to see if there is any way we can make it work that won’t break the customer’s wallet. Many times inspectors appreciate the heads up and will do what they can to help. Contrary to popular belief, an inspectors job is to help you get the work done quickly and correctly.
