Thrill seekers and adventurous travellers must add Queenstown, New Zealand to their destination list. The resort town boasts of picturesque sceneries and adrenaline activities, such as water rafting, jet boating, skydiving, bungee jumping, and many more. It is not surprise that it is called the "Adventure Capital of the World".

When I think of exotic places, one that immediately comes to mind is Puerto Rico, a Caribbean paradise just off the east coast of the United States. My experience there was nothing short of amazing. From its vibrant culture and stunning beaches to its mind-blowing rainforests and crystal clear waters, it's truly an otherworldly destination. My trip began in San Juan at Old San Juan, the oldest settlement in Puerto Rico. The cobblestone streets are lined with bright colors, tropical plants, and little cafes that make you feel as if you’re actually walking through a painting. Everywhere you look has something interesting: historical sites like Castillo de San Cristobal or El Morro Castle, beautiful parks like El Yunque National Forest, or warm-water beaches perfect for swimming or lounging around!

Madagascar! It isn't just a destination - it's a world all of its own! This island nation, also known as the "eighth continent," is a place where landscapes, culture, and wildlife converge to create an unparalleled experience. From flora and fauna found nowhere else on the planet, most famously lemurs, Madagascar is a haven for nature lovers and explorers alike. You can trek through lush rainforests looking for lemurs, relax on white-sand beaches, or explore the incredible landscapes like the limestone pinnacles of the Grand Tsingy. It's also a great place to immerse yourself in local customs and traditions - there are an incredible 18 different ethnic groups! Madagascar is a place where the exotic and the extraordinary come together in a way that's truly unforgettable. You'll be travelling to a whole new world!

Las Vegas may be famous for its flashy casinos and shows, but there's much more to this city than meets the eye. During my visit, I discovered some lesser-known spots that were truly unique. I visited the Neon Museum, where I saw iconic signs from the city's past, and learned about the history of Las Vegas. The Mob Museum was another highlight, where I explored the fascinating world of organized crime and its impact on the city. And of course, I couldn't miss the famous Fremont Street Experience, where I enjoyed live music and street performers in a lively, outdoor setting. While Las Vegas may seem like a one-trick pony, there's so much more to discover beyond the bright lights.

French Polynesia is undoubtedly the most exotic place I have traveled to. I was captivated by the mesmerizing blue waters, the lush green vegetation, and the warm and hospitable people. One of my most memorable experiences was visiting Bora Bora, a picturesque island in the heart of the South Pacific. I stayed in an overwater bungalow, which gave me a stunning view of the turquoise lagoon below. I spent my days snorkeling, kayaking, and exploring the island's pristine beaches. I also had the chance to indulge in the local cuisine, which included fresh seafood and tropical fruits. The highlight of my trip was watching the sunset over the horizon while sipping on a tropical cocktail. French Polynesia was a paradise on earth, and I will always cherish the memories I made there.

Crete, Greece, stands as a remarkable destination that I've had the privilege of exploring. This island captivates visitors with its dazzling blue waters, Elafonisi Beach's pristine white sands, and the exceptional hospitality of its residents. As a vacation hotspot, Crete offers an unparalleled experience. The island's gastronomy is particularly noteworthy, featuring a rich Mediterranean diet with mouthwatering dishes such as Greek dolmathes, moussaka, and bougatsa. History enthusiasts will find Crete a haven of ancient sites, including the Palace of Knossos and the remarkable Heraklion Archaeological Museum. In conclusion, Crete delivers an unforgettable journey that I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone seeking a distinctive vacation experience.

As a European traveler, I recall my journey to Israel as an unforgettable and exotic experience. When visiting Jerusalem, I experienced the blend of religious traditions and bustling energy that was simply fascinating. It broadened my horizons and enriched my understanding of the world. But it wasn't just the city that made my trip special. Israel's unique landscape and climate were also awe-inspiring. The desert's stark beauty and the lush palms were sights that I will never forget. It was a refreshing change from my usual surroundings. In fact, the contrast to my homeland was so stark that I felt like I was on a completely different planet. This feeling of escapism allowed me to completely disconnect from everyday life and enjoy a much-needed break.

Among the many exotic places that I have traveled to, Bali holds a special place in my heart. Located in Indonesia, Bali is a magical island known for its stunning natural beauty, unique culture, and stunning beaches. The experience of Bali is like stepping into a whole other world full of vibrant colors, tantalizing smells, and enchanting sounds. The island is dotted with ancient temples, lush rice paddies, and stunning waterfalls, all of which create a serene and peaceful atmosphere that is perfect for relaxation and introspection. Whether you are seeking adventure or some quiet time in nature, Bali has something to offer everyone. From surfing and hiking to yoga and meditation, you will find a wide range of activities to choose from. The locals are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and their traditions and customs will leave a lasting impression on you. Bali truly is a magical place that I cannot recommend enough.

The most exotic place I've had the pleasure to visit is the magnificent city of Marrakesh in Morocco. The split between the new and old city is a wonder to behold, and the culture of the people is amazing. I loved visiting the scepter in the old town, interacting with the kind locals, and drinking their teas and coffees over evening chats.

Sri Lanka is a great exotic vacation off the main path. My trip to Sri Lanka was unforgettable, and I definitely suggest it to anyone seeking a unique and adventurous vacation. Sri Lanka's natural beauty was my first impression. From the central highlands' lush green tea plantations to the south coast's stunning beaches, this small island nation is paradise. The massive dagobas and intricately carved stone pillars of Anuradhapura, once the capital of a powerful Buddhist kingdom, awed me. My journey was made better by a picturesque train excursion through Sri Lanka's tea area. I saw spectacular views of rolling hills, misty valleys, vividly colored tea bushes, and quaint hillside villages as the train chugged up steep mountain slopes and through narrow valleys. I had an amazing time in Sri Lanka. I definitely recommend adding this wonderful island nation to your itinerary if you're seeking for a genuinely exotic and unforgettable holiday trip.

Jaisalmer, also known as the "Golden City," is a must-visit destination in India. Located in the state of Rajasthan, this desert city is famous for its picturesque sand dunes, majestic forts, and traditional havelis. The experience of camping under the starry sky, indulging in local cuisine, and enjoying traditional Rajasthani folk music and dance performances was truly mesmerizing. Exploring the narrow lanes of the historic city and admiring the intricate carvings on the yellow sandstone buildings was also a memorable experience. Additionally, participating in thrilling adventure activities such as jeep safaris, camel rides, and dune bashing added to the excitement of my trip. Jaisalmer is a unique and exotic destination that offers a perfect blend of culture, history, and adventure, making it one of the most unforgettable trips I have ever taken.

Unexpectedly, the wild mountains of the Caucasus became my favorite place on Earth, and Georgia is the country I return to almost every year. For many people, Caucasian republics seem mysterious and exotic. Indeed, Georgia is difficult to classify - it is partially European and partially Asian, with a pinch of the Middle East and Russia. But I am in love with their rich but widely unknown culture dating back several thousand years, fantastic cuisine, probably the best wine in the world (seriously!), and unpolluted, raw beauty of nature.

Jordan is a fascinating destination. Jordan is a Middle Eastern country with historic ruins, beautiful scenery, and a distinct culture. Jordan was stunning when I visited. Petra, one of the Seven Wonders, is stunning. The Treasury and other spectacular buildings are cut into the rock. The Treasury's initial glimpse after walking through Petra's tight gorge was breathtaking. Camping in Wadi Rum was another delight. I've never seen anything like the desert's towering sandstone cliffs and enormous sand dunes. Sleeping in a Bedouin tent and eating campfire food was unforgettable. I also appreciated Jordanian culture. I enjoyed falafel and hummus and the friendly people. I also bought native handicrafts at local marketplaces. Jordan was an unforgettable trip. I recommend the country to anyone seeking an uncommon and distinctive tourist destination because of its natural beauty, history, and culture.

I've traveled ot Egypt in October 2020! When I got there, I experienced an intense culture shock. I didn't expect so much chaos on the streets and salespeople tucking your hand and elbow to sell you something you don't even want! At the start of my trip, this was overwhelming for me and I didn't feel comfortable walking the streets. After a couple of days, I got adjusted to how Egypt works and started to haggle in the markets with local sellers and I had a great time! I started to appreciate the hard work Egyptians put into creating cool opportunities for themselves to earn money. My favorite example of this is a supermarket on the water - a small boat that attaches to a bigger one. Once it attaches, a guy jumps into the cruise ship with drinks and snacks and sells them on the boat. Pretty creative, right!? Traveling through Vietnam was one of the most amazing, eye-opening, crazy and beautiful experiences of my life. From the chaotic major cities to the serene but wild jungles, it is a country like no other. The street food is exotic and alien to a Westerner but is cheap and delicious, the Mekong River is a vast natural beauty and the locals are extremely friendly and generous. It takes a few days to get over the culture shock of seemingly millions of people buzzing around you, as well as the humidity and daily downpours, but once you settle in, it is a stunning country to visit and explore. I always felt safe and would recommend anyone to plan a trip to Vietnam at least once in their life!

One exotic place I've traveled to is Egypt. The experience was truly mesmerizing – exploring the ancient pyramids, walking through the bustling markets, and immersing myself in the rich history and culture. It felt like stepping back in time, and I couldn't help but be in awe of the incredible architectural feats and the stories behind them.

My family visited Vietnam to reconnect with relatives. Part of that trip included a journey to a plantation. We were all packed into a station wagon and drove for what felt like hours, from the city to the country. Most people were on mopeds, and there were no stoplights. To travel in a car was a unique experience itself, as the driver had to beep the horn incessantly for the mopeds to move out of the way. What was interesting was that everybody did move. When we arrived at the plantation, we were surrounded by lush plant life. We picked and ate various fruits, and enjoyed the owner's hospitality as his only guests. Living in New York City, I'm accustomed to being surrounded by concrete and non-fruiting male trees planted by urban planners. That experience sits with me whenever I contemplate life in a big city.

Each exotic destination has its own appeal. Bali, Indonesia, is notable. Beautiful vistas, lively culture, and warm hospitality define Bali. Its rice farms, woods, beaches, and temples are beautiful. Surfing, hiking, scuba diving, yoga, spa treatments, and beach lazing are all available on the island. Immersing in Bali's culture is a highlight. Balinese people are warm and deeply spiritual. Balinese dances, music, and offerings are common at rituals and processions. Bali's food is unforgettable. Balinese food combines Indonesian, Indian, and Chinese flavors. Nasi goreng, mie goreng, satay, and sambal are must-eats. Bali offers the right mix of relaxation, adventure, and cultural immersion.

Bali, Indonesia is my favorite exotic travel destination. The vibrant culture, stunning natural beauty, and endless activities make it a must-visit place for any traveler. From relaxing on the beautiful beaches to exploring ancient temples, Bali offers a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure. The food is delicious, and the people are friendly and welcoming. The island has a laid-back vibe and is perfect for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. I particularly loved the stunning rice terraces, traditional dance performances, and adventurous water sports like surfing and snorkeling.
