Danny Goldstein is a corporate lawyer who founded Crux Compatible, a matchmaking service in Austin, Texas. His mission is to fix our current broken dating culture. He believes we need to stop swiping on dating apps and focus instead on factors that relationship scientists have identified as mattering most for long-term relationships, factors such as attachment style and core values. After a pattern of unsuccessful relationships, a close friend suggested that Danny had a bad "picker" for finding a compatible partner. Realizing this was a common problem for people, this sparked the idea for Danny's version of matchmaking--learning about a person via an in-depth questionnaire and choosing a potential partner for them using current relationship science.
