We saw a company spend a huge amount of time and resource putting together a large bank of questions that nobody wanted to answer and, even if they did, wouldn't tell HR anything particularly useful. It was an exercise in pure futility. Two years later we witnessed something else: the death of pre-packaged survey platforms. Somebody clever decided to break that annual survey into 12 smaller chunks that people were happier to answer. Unfortunately, sending one survey per month meant that the data was still only ever relevant for one month in the year, and if anything happened between those dates nobody would know.
