Katherine currently serves as a newscast director at WVUA 23, helping bring local stories come to life. With an average of 30 interns a semester, she trains and manages them in rotating crews of 6 during 18 shows a week/1:1 meetings throughout the semester. Her role is more than just putting a newscast on air, it also includes being the point of communication for engineering, news, sales, and creative services, as well as having a sharp eye for detail, and working well under pressure. Katherine’s multiple management roles have consistently inspired her to grow as a leader and she enjoys mentoring her students through college and into their professional careers.
