While the bulk of my experience has been with traditional web analytics data collection, recently, the projects that I have been involved in have gone outside of the "web analytics" box, integrating 3rd party data sets to allow for more rich business intelligence solutions beyond counting clicks and page views, as well as providing data for personalization efforts inside software product UI's.
