I'm Monique Diaz, the founder of Geechee Mama Candles. I'm a full-time nurse, a spiritual worker, and a proud descendant of the Gullah Geechee tradition through my maternal line. I started Geechee Mama to create spiritual tools that feel sacred, rooted, and made with intention. Every candle and incense stick is handcrafted by me, using clean-burning ingredients and cultural knowledge passed down through my family. I focus on products that support Black women who are reclaiming their power and honoring their ancestors in their own way. This brand is named in honor of my grandmother Elise. Everything I make is a reflection of her wisdom, our legacy, and the kind of spiritual care I wish I had when I started this journey.
