Samuel C. Spitale is a professor in the Communication Studies Department at Loyola Marymount University. He’s a writer, storyteller, and author of the nonfiction book How to Win the War on Truth: An Illustrated Guide to How Mistruths Are Sold, Why They Stick, and How to Reclaim Reality from Quirk Books. An alumnus of Louisiana State University, he earned his B.A. and M.A. in Mass Communication. He’s trained journalism students at the State Department's International Digital Education and Arts Program and has been a featured speaker at the Clinton Presidential Center’s Civic Education Institute and Student Presidential Leaders Series, and he's presented panels on media literacy and propaganda at San Diego Comic-Con, WonderCon, and L.A.
