I have been practicing plastic surgery since 1985 and am certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, the only board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialists to certify plastic surgeons. I received a pre-medical degree from the University of Bologna, Italy, in 1973 and then a medical degree from the Technion (Israel Institute of Technology), Israel, in 1978. I served an internship and initial general surgery residency at the University of Tel Aviv and then moved to the United States in 1981 to become a resident at Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston, MA.
