Sonya Sparks is a local arts advocate, curator, small business owner, and mother of 2. Sparks received her B.A. in 2005 in International Business with minors in German and Visual Arts from the University of San Diego. She worked as a search engine marketing consultant, provided export management to international distribution companies in the "As Seen on TV" industry, and served as President of the San Diego chapter of an international non-profit business society before launching Sparks Gallery. Located in the Sterling Hardware Building in the Gaslamp Quarter of downtown San Diego, the Gallery specializes in showcasing contemporary artwork by Southern California artists and serves as an event venue, offering art workshops, seminars and private events.
