My introduction to doing DEI work was through supplier diversity. I watched companies create barriers to exclude diverse suppliers from their supply chain. When I got the opportunity to enter the space, I worked to implement sustainable strategies and programs to support minority, women, and disadvantaged small business enterprise development. Through authentic relationship building with suppliers, I’ve witnessed the impact taking a chance on someone can have on communities. Throughout my 20+ years of experience, that has fueled my work, what I can do in the simplest form that can help someone.
