Landlords who bought their first rental recently: share your story! Hello! For Morning Brew's real estate newsletter The Playbook, I'm looking for new(ish) landlords who entered the rental market recently—ideally in 2025, but as early as 2021 is great. My questions for you: -What year did you rent out your first rental property, and how did you become a landlord (did you buy the property intentionally as a rental, or did you rent out a home you already owned or inherited rather than sell it, etc.)? -How many homes do you own currently, and in which markets? I’d love to feature photos of any of your rentals. I’d also love to feature a photo of you! Ideally in front of your rental but any casual photo, selfie, is great. Please send photos as attachments or include an Instagram link to a photo you’d like me to use. -What surprised you about becoming a landlord, and what advice would you give others who might want to try it? I’d appreciate answers to the above questions and photos in your original message to me, along with your email for follow-up questions. Thank you!
