1) Markup AI CEO Matt Blumberg created what he calls a “fantasy board of directors” including Warren Buffett, Oprah Winfrey and the late Steve Jobs to supplement the advice he gets from his own board.
In just an hour or two, Fortune reports, Blumberg used a combination of ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude to create 5,000 world profiles of each advisor, and train them on Markup AI’s business.
“I’ll say things like: Hey, I’m doing a presentation for our kickoff meeting next week. What do you think are the top three themes I should hit?” Blumberg said. “As a CEO steering a company’s strategy and execution, any additional inputs and learnings and challenges strengthen my work.”
How effective and efficient an idea could this be? What level of value could potentially be derived. Or this is very surface-level benefit?
2) Blumberg cautioned: “With any AI agents, you need to be really careful not to believe the bullsh*t. They’re predictive, and they’re good, but not perfect. They’re not human, and they miss a lot of cues.”
This sounds like there remains a lot of risk in using the technology as tool for certain tasks. Does the benefit for this purpose far exceed the risk and what can be done to prevent or mitigate it?
