New Media Film FestivalWe’re looking for journalists, culture writers, entertainment reporters, tech and innovation press, and podcast hosts who want to speak with the global creators shaping the future of storytelling. Our 2026 program brings together filmmakers, artists, musicians, scientists, and immersive media innovators from 19 countries, with 35 world premieres and dozens of new works across narrative, documentary, science‑driven, music‑driven, and emerging media categories.
This year’s creators include YongJik Lee, Fabio Thieme, Loïs Levy, Kenji Ishimaru, Leeorah Hursky, Lori Moilov, Nick Roth, Da Eun Kim, Dr. Owain Llwyd, Rod Findley, and others working at the edge of new formats. Music and culture programming features multi‑platinum artists Pendulum and WARGASM, plus a visual teaser centered on award‑winner David Byrne. Documentary highlights include Kinfolk – The Juke Joint Blues, featuring historically significant blues figures. Additional notable talent includes Mary Lou Belli, Blair Underwood, Vernon Davis, Cindy Herron, Ernesto Paglia, Gjert Rognli, Jonathan Thunder, Ava Della Pietra, Lynn Lowry, Paul Ben Victor, James Urbaniak, Nicole Kang, and Mather Zickel.
Since 2009, this event has championed creators who push boundaries in story, technology, and culture. Many formats once considered niche here have since become mainstream, with past judges from Marvel, HBO, PBS, BBC, ABC, and other major creative institutions.
