I am writing an article for InsuranceNewsNet titled "What the New Texas Disclosure Law Means for Agents & Their Clients." I'd love to include insights from financial professionals on this topic. Here are my questions. Thanks in advance for your help! Anna The overview: Beginning earlier this year, a new Texas law went into effect requiring insurance companies to provide a reason for declining or canceling an auto or homeowners policy. HB 2067 applies to decisions companies make after January 1, 2026, and includes all property and casualty insurers, including farm mutual insurance companies, and applies to applications made and policies delivered, issued, or renewed on or after January 1, 2026. The questions: 1. What are your thoughts on this law? 2. What are your tips for agents for communicating this to clients? 3. What are your tips to help agents and clients interpret carrier responses and avoid surprises?
