Fun restaurants/food experiences to take your kids to eat in LA area
This is for upcoming California family fun section that will run in newly launched California Post and the New York Post. The New York Post newspaper has a daily print circulation of 518,000 copies and a readership of 872,000. Recent stats have put the NYP at the third or fourth largest newspaper by print circulation in the U.S. As far as digital, what stories run online are editors' discretion and I can't control that as a freelancer.
I'm thinking of Serendipity-type places that are especially geared towards kids, cool beach spots with special kids menus, hotel teas for kids, sports arena food experiences for kids....you tell me. As long as it's over-the-top and aimed towards children. Must be in LA or within 1.5 hour drive of LA.
If this is you or your client, please send with numbers:
1. Name of restaurant and/or specific eating experience available there (i.e., if it's a kids tea or candy store with bar seating and dessert tasting menu for kids), pricing if it's a specific experience or sample prices of two or so kid items from menus if not specific experience, location and distance from LA in miles/driving time if not in LA proper, link to website.
2. Dropbox/Google Drive link to images and photo credit listed here and in folder name of photos for whatever you are pitching.
3. Please describe this kid-friendly food experience in one paragraph MAX, singling out any unique, colorful details and/or anecdotes from personal experience visiting wtih a child or seeing children enjoy it and anything else parents should know about this experience (i.e., insider tip like, reserve a table in this section for the best view or ask for the off-menu chocolate whatever or go at this time of day/day of week to beat the crowds or if your party has any dietary restricts let the staff know in advance and you can get a GF or vegan menu).
4. Please name two standout dishes and why they are so great for kids.
5. Optional: Please share parent full name, occupation, company, and age(s)/gender(s) of child(ren) for someone not paid ambassador of brand/working at restaurant to share their insider intel on going here with a kid and/or why they love taking their child/ren here. (fine if you work in LA tourism or PR, just don't want direct employees of restaurant...you can also source from any random "man on the street" contacts you have.
6. Best email for follow-up questions
