Comments Needed: AI and U.S. Energy Infrastructure Experts Good afternoon. I'm looking for people with experience in AI energy demands, U.S. energy infrastructure, data centers, and related experts to share their perspective for an article examining AI's expanding energy demands and how it impacts the U.S. energy grid. My main questions are: 1.) Some U.S. officials forecast record highs for energy consumption in 2026, with data centers named as one of the key drivers. Is this a realistic projection? 2.) ***for AI professionals** What can be done at data centers to reduce energy consumption and/or make it more efficient? 3.) ***U.S. energy grid experts*** In your assessment, can the U.S. power grid support the current pace of rapid data center growth and its subsequent energy demands? If not, what needs to change? 4.) Some forecasts suggest AI-driven energy demands may be more of a regional vs. a national problem. What are your thoughts on this? 5.) In your professional opinion, are concerns over U.S. energy infrastructure not being able to support soaring AI-energy demands legitimate, or overblown? Please explain. Thank you for your time and consideration of this important topic.
