The stability paradox, or organizational inertia, is sometimes the result of long-term business success. The practices that make organizations successful eventually become rigid routines that make adaptation harder. Success creates systems, routines, and identities that resist change.
I'm looking for business leaders and experts to comment on how long-term success can inadvertently result in a lack of adaptability or flexibility that could be detrimental to creativity and innovation within an organization.
Additionally, I'm seeking insight on how leaders can mindfully avoid this type of stagnation, so a business can experience long-term stability and success while maintaining the creative adaptability needed to adjust to changing market conditions and consumer demands.
