In my experience, so many small business owners are afraid to take a home office deduction. They think it will be a red flag for an audit. But I tell them that the tax law allows it. They are entitled to the home office deduction if they meet the requirements and keep receipts. And once they agree, the home office deduction reduces their taxes significantly (including the hefty self employment tax). Another happy client!
