I taught high school students with no or less aviation background. It is their first time handling and maneuvering an airplane. Our high school has multiple flight simulators with yokes, power quadrants, and screens. The flight simulators have let first-time student pilots build muscle memory through sequence and procedures with proper ground and flight training from flight instructors, flight manuals, and resources. The aeronautical skills they accomplished through flight simulation performed well in their first introductory and discovery flight in Cessna 172. Incorporating modern flight simulation technology is encouraged into the flight training syllabus because it has been proven through my institution's student pilots that gained the benefits of early exposure served well with not only skills but also safety and monetary. The method of incorporation, unfortunately, has to be unique to your current learning environment and circumstances. Every student is at a different level. However, it will work if you pursue aviation safety properly and truly.
