As the Founder and CEO of skinBe Med Spa, I have witnessed countless transformations in our clients, each journey unique and inspiring. One topic that resonates deeply with many of us is the appearance of scars and stretch marks. Having navigated my own experiences with these skin concerns, I want to share my personal journey, the treatments we offer, and my advice to anyone looking for solutions to enhance their confidence and embrace their skin. During my journey, I realized that it's not just about the physical changes; it's also about the emotional impact. Feeling bold and powerful in my own skin is something I strive to help others achieve at skinBe Med Spa. At skinBe Med Spa, we offer a range of advanced treatments designed to reduce the appearance of scars and stretch marks. Each treatment is tailored to the individual's specific needs. Here, I'll share two of the most effective treatments we provide: CO2 laser resurfacing and microneedling. CO2 Laser Resurfacing: This aggressive yet effective procedure is designed to remove the deep outer layers of damaged skin, paving the way for healthy, glowing skin to emerge. The CO2 laser works by emitting concentrated beams of light penetrating beneath the skin's surface, creating tiny columns of thermal injury. This process stimulates the body's natural healing response, prompting the production of collagen and elastin. I am amazed at the results these treatments provide. The transformation wasn't just skin-deep; it invigorated my confidence and empowered me to embrace my skin fully. It's incredible to witness how such a powerful treatment can change lives, both physically and emotionally. Microneedling: Another fantastic option is microneedling. This treatment involves creating tiny microinjuries in the top layer of the skin, which triggers the body's natural healing process. As the skin heals, it produces new collagen and elastin, resulting in smoother, firmer, and more flawless skin. Having experienced microneedling firsthand, I can personally attest to its effectiveness. The results were remarkable, and the boost in my self-esteem was undeniable. The journey to minimizing the appearance of scars and stretch marks is one that many people face, and it can be an emotional rollercoaster. At skinBe Med Spa, we understand the challenges and are committed to providing advanced treatments that empower individuals to feel confident in their skin. Yes! I have tried the Morpheus 8 RF Microneedling for both my face and my belly. I have a little scar on my forehead ever since I was little. It has always affected me because every time I would apply makeup the scar would skill show. After I came across Morpheus 8, I wanted to try and see if I would see any benefits. After just 1 treatment it minimized my scar tremendously, and seeing that he has helped after just with 1 session I can't not wait to get 2 more sessions and see it fully minimize to a point where it does not even show that I have or had any scars. Now, when I apply my makeup I do not seen it because it had also reduced the appearance of my scar. The same affect was for my post baby C-section scar that has always bothered me. Even though my scar is not seen, it made me uncomfortable and unhappy, just by even having it. I had applied multiple creams and lotions to reduce that appearance, the size and texture but nothing seem to work. For my C-section scar I tried the Morpheus 8 and saw major appearance in the scar just after the first treatment. I was very excited and hopeful that finally I found a treatment that will help me reduce the scarring. To continue minimizing, toning and firming my skin, I use Tone and Firm Body Lotion from SkinMedica. That has been a positive outcome with significant improvement with my skin and my scars. I couldn't be any happier with how my skin looks and feels. The treatment along with the skin care helps be have high hopes that sooner these scars will no longer appear. I highly recommend Morpheus 8 treatment, you should give it a try!
As an aesthetic physician, I have spent years treating scars of all types-stretch marks, hypertrophic scars, atrophic scars, and everything in between. Scars can be a significant cosmetic concern for many patients, and while there are countless treatment options available, finding the most effective approach requires a deep understanding of both the scar type and the patient's skin. Over the years, I have experimented with nearly every modality available, from microneedling to chemical peels, lasers, and various injectables. Through experience, trial, and observation, I've refined my approach to scar treatment. The conclusion? The best results come from a customized combination of laser therapy and topical exosomes or platelet-rich plasma (PRP). This tailored approach works because different types of scars require different treatments. The key is selecting the right laser based on skin type, scar characteristics, and patient goals, then combining it with regenerative therapies like exosomes or PRP to optimize healing and collagen remodeling.
As a consultant plastic surgeon, I frequently treat patients with scars and stretch marks. My approach is stepwise and tailored to each individual's unique concerns and appearance. In the early stages, scars can often be managed non-surgically using a combination of vigorous massage, occlusive therapy, silicone gels, and compression garments. For more advanced treatment, minimally invasive techniques-such as microneedling with radiofrequency energy, polynucleotides, or stem cell factors-can promote scar maturation and improve skin texture of both scars and stretch marks. It is important to realise that the biological remodelling of a scar can take up to 18 months. For raised, lumpy scars, steroid injections provide an effective in-clinic solution with almost no downtime. Whereas, larger or more extensive scars may require a small surgical procedure by an experienced plastic surgeon to achieve lifechanging results.
Gentle, regular exfoliation with sugar and natural oils is a perfect solution for scars and stretch marks if it contains Emu oil, it is even better. Emu oil contains essential fatty acids that mimic sebum oil so they help skin regenerate. When you exfoliate, you push the shedding of skin cells turning over faster, allowing for healthier, fresher skin to come forward. Combine that with natural oils and butters that nourish skin and it's a win/win for scars and stretchmarks. They never permanently go away but keeping the skin soft and supple keeps them minimized. If you need anything further, just reach out. Best, Roberta Perry
Yes, I've tried a few treatments aimed at minimizing the appearance of scars and stretch marks, and one that stood out was microneedling. I underwent a series of microneedling sessions, where tiny needles create controlled micro-injuries in the skin to stimulate collagen production. Over time, this can help reduce the appearance of scars and stretch marks by promoting skin regeneration. My experience was positive. Initially, there was some redness and mild discomfort post-treatment, but this subsided after a few hours. Over the course of several sessions, I began noticing a smoother texture and more even skin tone where the stretch marks had been. One piece of advice I'd give to others is to be patient-these treatments take time and consistency. Also, make sure to follow up with a good skincare routine, particularly using products that support collagen production, like vitamin C serums or retinoids. It's important to consult with a skincare professional to determine if the treatment is suitable for your specific skin type and goals.
Pre-biotic skincare has been a game-changer for minimising the appearance of scars and stretch marks. Pre-biotics support the skin's natural microbiome, which is essential for healing and maintaining healthy skin. They create an environment where beneficial bacteria thrive, aiding in cell regeneration and reducing inflammation. Studies, such as the one published in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology, show that pre-biotics enhance skin barrier repair and improve texture. Over time, scars soften and become less visible. You can find more about the science here: - Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology: https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/journal/14732165 When choosing a pre-biotic product, look for natural ingredients and avoid harsh chemicals, for example the pre-Biotics by Pairfum London. Consistency is key, so apply it daily and pair it with gentle massage to stimulate circulation. Pre-biotics are a gentle yet effective option for improving skin health.
Scars and stretch marks are a common concern, and there are many treatments out there that claim to help. Some people swear by microneedling or laser therapy, while others find success with retinol, vitamin C, or hyaluronic acid-based skincare. Natural remedies like rosehip oil and aloe vera also have their fans.

Good day, A lot of people have experienced positive results with treatments like laser therapy, microneedling and topical products that are specifically made to lessen the appearance of scars and stretch marks. One treatment in particular, called microneedling, has taken the internet by storm; it involves tiny needles which create micro injuries to your skin and stimulate collagen production. Over time, this procedure may help to improve the texture and appearance of scars and stretch marks. Another option that's getting attention is laser therapy (such as fractional CO2 lasers), which focuses on the skin's deeper layers to stimulate healing and minimize discoloration. Most users report visible improvement in both scarring texture and skin tone after several sessions. For at home choices, topical creams with ingredients such as retinol, hyaluronic acid or silicone gel sheets can be helpful for the healing process." One ingredient a lot of people turn to is silicone gel sheets specifically, silicone gel sheets are one of the few treatments consistently supported by research for reducing the appearance of scars by acting as a barrier that helps prevent water evaporation while relieving some of the tension on the skin. Now, of course I'd recommend speaking with a dermatologist or healthcare provider prior to any treatments to see if it is for your skin type and condition, but if you are looking for something with long lasting results that isn't invasive, I have to say this is a good option. Many treatments require patience, as they take time to have an effect. The best possible outcome with care and avoidance of irritants is obtained through consistency.

Good day! I myself have undergone microneedling to treat neogenesis of scars to help reduce their prominence as well as hairline width and some stretch marks, and it can be quite effective. A minimally invasive treatment, microneedling involves the use of small needles that create micro-injuries to stimulate collagen production and skin renewal. Within a couple of sessions, I observed that my skin texture was looking better with scars turning less visible and stretch marks fading a bit. I would advise anyone thinking of this treatment to make sure you go to a certified professional, and follow all aftercare advice to prevent irritation or infection. Also, patience: Results generally take several sessions to fully materialize.
