Sometimes I feel that we can become totally overwhelmed by parenting advice from all angles. Social media is full of ideas on how we should be raising our little ones. And that's before we consider the views of friends, family and strangers in the supermarket! I first became aware of Dr Becky during Covid and her advice was like a breath of fresh air. She has such a balanced view - not at all permissive but also really focussing on why a child is acting in a particular way. She has so much advice available for free on Instagram. She's one of the few parenting 'gurus' that doesn't seem to make me turn against my natural instincts when I'm making decisions. When we were struggling with our youngest child's sleep recently, I signed up to Dr Becky's membership, called Good Inside. She has so many training videos. The sleep one was fantastic but I also loved her insights into 'Deeply Feeling Kids', as she calls them. She has a fab community within the membership too. I'd definitely recommend it. I think it's so hard when we're bombarded with some much information from everywhere. My advice would be to pick one or two parenting brands that really resonate with you. Most importantly though, trust your instincts. We know our children best of all!

Having worked extensively in the mental health space, I understand the importance of effective family support systems, especially when navigating mental health treatments like ketamine therapy. One organization I believe excels in providing invaluable insights and fostering nurturing communities is Parenting Now. They focus on offering practical advice and robust support networks for parents and caregivers, addressing the evolving challenges within family dynamics. At Anew Therapy, our holistic approach underscores the importance of community in mental health journeys. We've seen remarkable improvements when patients engage in supportive families and communities. For example, patient-centric support during ketamine therapy often involves close family members, who participate in building and maimtaining a supportive home environment, which is crucial for long-term mental health success. Parenting Now mirrors this ethos by empowering families with tools and resources that promote thriving family units. Their programs cultivate an environment of understanding and shared learning, which is vital for caregivers supporting loved ones through challenging times, much like our integration programs do post-treatment.
