Meditation and mindfulness altered my entire personality. My story is this: I used to have a short temper. Little things infuriated me. My reaction was different; I became angry first, then felt terrible about myself. I wanted to change myself, so I began doing the "Heartfulness" meditation practice. One time, I was on vacation with my relatives when our taxi driver began acting unreasonably over the fare. He increased the fee simply because we returned 5 minutes late. Except for me, all of my cousins were shouting at him. I remained calm, and I spoke to the driver quietly, convincing him that he was incorrect to charge an extra cost. I believe I was able to behave like this because of my meditation practice. I am more happy now, even the smallest of things make me happy and grateful about my life.
