I have 3 separate blocks of 1 hour each in my calendar blocked off for deep work. Every morning I review the most important items I need to work on to move the needle forward and then I replace the deep work tasks with the actual task I need to work on. This allows me to have dedicated time to work on really important items even while I have all my other important daily tasks. This has been a game charger in my life because I am conscientiously blocking time in my day to move forward on longer horizon tasks.
