A once-obscure treasure in Chicago's Archer Heights neighborhood, Birrieria Zaragoza is now on its way to becoming a taco household name after being featured in the first episode of Season 3 of Netflix's "Taco Chronicles: Cross the Border." Following an extensive segment on the family and their restaurant, viewers were then shown how birria -tender, oven-roasted goat served with handmade corn tortillas, onions, cilantro, and salsa-should be enjoyed. When it rains, you want to be inside Birrieria Zaragoza, eating the most tender, delectable meat you've ever had. In that cozy space, with its limited but comfortable seating, you can almost forget the torrential Chicago rain that's falling relentlessly outside. With such an intimate setting and such intensely delicious food, it is a good place to hunker down while the storm passes. My wife and I love going here.
