One reason could be the lack of awareness and understanding about the concept of day passes. Another factor could be that there isn't enough marketing or promotion around day passes, so consumers might not even know they exist or understand their benefits. Additionally, hotels might find managing day pass users logistically challenging or less profitable than traditional room bookings.
As a tech CEO deeply involved in all aspects of the company, I find that the lack of popularity of day passes for hotel amenities is similar to the initial resistance seen towards adopting new technologies. People are comfortable associating hotels with overnight stays, and so, this notion of utilizing the facilities for a day introduces an unfamiliar alternative. The hospitality sector is built around the 'overnight' norm, with hotels worried about overcrowding and the resulting impact on the quality of service for their overnight guests. But just as we've witnessed a paradigm shift in tech, it's just a matter of time before the hotel industry embraces the concept of day passes.
