Privacy is one of the major ethical concerns in informatics, especially in the management of personal and sensitive data. When I started my career, I was working on a project that analyzed hospital admission data for identifying cost-saving opportunities. This helped a lot but it had some serious issues regarding data sharing about the patients. I had it by advocating for more stringent anonymization practices and the prohibition of personal identifiers both within and outside the organization. This not only ensured privacy but also fosters fidelity among stakeholders. Now I always talk about internal protection of data and do a lot of reviews to see that risk is reduced. Futuristic and future-thinking have been proved to be a highly beneficial balance between innovation and privacy for highly successful business ventures and ethics.
