Manage stress intentionally through activities that help regulate your nervous system. 6. Avoid smoking and limit alcohol. 7. Keep blood sugar within a healthy range and address insulin resistance early. 8. Maintain a healthy weight in a sustainable, non-restrictive way. 9. Know your numbers (blood pressure, cholesterol, and inflammatory markers) and track them over time. 10. Address sleep apnea or snoring concerns promptly; they significantly increase cardiovascular strain.
