I always thought that I wanted to be a lawyer, but one year into my studies at university, I realised I actually didn't want a future career in it. At the tender age of 19, I decided I wanted to do a full career switch and jump into my passion of fashion. It was not an easy shift, as I was met with a lot of push back from my parents and people around me. I re-applied, enrolled at London College of Fashion and eventually landed my dream job. It was the best decision I ever made. It's so important to listen to your intuition and trust yourself - no matter what.
Taking Risks and Finding Success in Fashion One risk I took in my career as a fashion professional was launching my own independent fashion label despite the uncertainties and challenges of the industry. While it was a daunting endeavor with no guarantee of success, I believed in my vision and the unique aesthetic I wanted to bring to the market. Through perseverance and determination, I poured my heart and soul into building my brand, from designing collections to managing production and marketing. Personally, the risk paid off when my label gained recognition for its innovative designs and sustainable practices, attracting a loyal customer base and industry acclaim. This experience taught me the importance of taking calculated risks, trusting my instincts, and staying true to my creative vision even in the face of adversity. It reinforced the notion that pursuing one's passion with dedication and authenticity can lead to meaningful achievements and personal fulfillment in the ever-evolving landscape of the fashion industry.
