We had an education client who had a small budget but wanted to show diversity of courses and appeal to a young demographic. To meet the budget we had to consider how to minimise crew moves yet portray multiple disciplines in an interesting way. This led us to consider an effective double-exposure technique. This just required a number of students to be filmed in a single room, in a single day and with minimal lighting to create a heavy contrasted look. The rest of the magic was in the post-production where we used a double-exposure effect and available stock footage to represent the courses.
