According to what I have seen, the mismatch between educational courses and the demands of the current employment market is a major societal element causing the NEET phenomenon. Many young people believe that conventional routes of education fail to provide them with the useful skills required for modern professions. Changing ideas about professional paths and work stability also contribute. Unlike other generations, Gen Z is more likely to give personal development and fulfillment first priority over conventional ideas of career security. For instance, a close friend of mine quit a corporate career after just one year in order to follow a love of sustainable fashion. The search for meaningful work that aligns with personal ideals motivated this choice, despite the initial financial insecurity. Additionally important is Gen Z's focus on mental health and work-life balance. Though it means temporary unemployment or underemployment, we are more likely to avoid settings that could cause burnout.
