Wuppo is possibly the most underrated game in my entire PC library. Aside from the endearing art direction, great soundtrack, and slick gameplay, what makes Wuppo such a gem is its superb world-building. I think it has the best world-building of any 2D game I've ever played. For example, there's a day/night cycle, and throughout the day, you'll encounter hundreds of little people going about their daily business, riding the tram to work, doing their jobs, etc. The whole world feels alive in a way that's rare for 2D games. That world-building makes Wuppo a charming and incredibly unique adventure game that, in my opinion, is a must-play for any gamers who like Metroidvanias. I especially recommend it to any Metroidvania fans looking for something a bit different than the usual "grimdark fantasy" fare that populates this genre.
