I was surprised by the outcome of a home sale that stayed on the market for nearly double the usual days for our area. I believe the end-of-year holidays and an ongoing election cycle slowed buyer interest. Yet, despite the extended listing period, it ultimately sold close to the asking price. These factors-timing around the holidays, shifting buyer attention due to the election, and fewer competing listings-all played into the final price. It taught me that even when a property sits longer than expected, the right buyer can still come along at the right moment.
