Whether you're promoting a speedway or a dedicated motorsports team, you'll need buckets of charisma and charm to be a promoter. You need to truly love the sport and all of the ups and downs that come with it. Sales and public speaking experience is a must. You will constantly be selling the dream of motorsports: where everyone is a potential customer. Be prepared for lengthy interviews and business meetings. You will need to be hard-working, organised, dedicated and above all motivated. It's a good idea to start small in this industry. Try your luck at the smaller racing companies and see where it takes you.
