If you are having trouble breaking into the supply chain industry due to a lack of experience, you could start with an internship. This will help you to learn more about how this kind of role works and you can also start building connections. Then you will be able to include this experience on your resume for when you start to look for paid positions.

That's too easy. Buy something someone else wants & sell it to them. BANG.!! you're a Supplier. Now if you mean it in a Commercial Business sense that a Little different but not much. In most cases, you'll need to establish a Corp or LLC, establish Buyer clients & procure Letters of Intent from the buyers to Purchase your Supply. Decide on a Niche you have an interest in or know already. One that isn't overly saturated or in High demand. Set up Mfg.s or wholesale companies to Buy the supply from, more letters of intent. Present you Business plan to a Lender, bring in a Financial Partner if needed & sell the Business idea to investors. Open you doors & call the Promised client list. Happy selling.!!
