To get rid of ads on Facebook using ad-blocking software such as AdBlock Plus, uBlock Origin, or Ghostery, follow these steps: Download and install an ad-blocking software of your choice. AdBlock Plus, uBlock Origin, and Ghostery are all popular options. Once installed, open your browser and navigate to Facebook. Ad-blocking software should automatically block most of the ads on Facebook. If you still see some ads, right-click on the ad and select "Block" or "Block Element" from the context menu. This will prevent the ad from appearing on Facebook in the future. Some ad-blocking software may also allow you to customize your blocking settings. For example, you can choose to block certain types of ads, such as pop-ups or video ads.

Some of the ads you see on Facebook can really get intrusive or just not interesting in the slightest, and it's no surprise some want to get rid of them. Thankfully, you can limit ads greatly by going into the "Settings" tab, navigating to the "Ads" section, and then setting specific ad preferences. Do it right and you'll quickly improve your Facebook experience.
To get rid of ads on Facebook, go to your Settings page, select the ‘Ads’ option, and then select the ‘Ads based on my use of websites and apps’ option. This will give you the option to turn off ads based on your use of websites and apps. You can also opt out of ads based on data from partners, and ads based on your activity on Facebook Company Products.
I personally use the AdBlock chrome extension to hide ads during internet browsing, and it seems to work well most of the time. On Facebook it does seem capable of blocking most ads when I'm using a desktop based computer. However when I'm on my iphone I haven't figured out the best way to block ads. I do know that you can block ads on apps as an Android user by adjusting your DNS settings - Go to connections > more connection settings > private dns. Next, choose the bottom option and type in this address "dns.adguard.com".
You may examine and modify your interests and ad settings on Facebook by visiting the Ad Preferences area. By doing so, you can hide advertising that are irrelevant to you and see more relevant ones. You can do this by going to Settings & Privacy > Settings > Ad Preferences by clicking on the down arrow in the upper right corner of your Facebook page.
