We currently use Ahrefs, SEMrush and hunter.io in our daily 'toolkit' for SEO and link building purposes. Whilst we do use other tools here and there, we always come back to these three in terms of their reliability and daily usage. We use SEMrush and Ahrefs for SEO monitoring, keyword tracking and outreach ideation, and then we use hunter.io. to obtain relevant emails as part of our link building activities. Multiple tools also means we can look for data averages and have more than one reference point for aspects such as external website analysis work and technical SEO monitoring. We choose tools based on what they do their ONE thing really, really well, and then also their supporting features which we may also utilise as an aside. We'd rather pay for multiple tools that do one thing well, rather than a 'one size fits all' tool that does multiple things 'okay'.

I currently use three SaaS tools to measure and improve my website performance: ahrefs, LowFruits, and Surfer SEO. When I choose a SaaS tool, one of the things I consider is how detailed the reports are and if they provide me with the data I need to make informed decisions regarding my website performance. Additionally, the cost of the tool is also important, as budget management is key to successful web campaigns.
