Founding Attorney and Mediator at San Diego Divorce Mediation & Family Law
Answered 2 years ago
As a mediation attorney for divorce in California, most of my cases involve highly charged emotions and hurt, at times leading with feelings rather than thought. The key to my work is that clients trust at all times that I do not and will never root for one over the other. I prioritize setting the groundwork for a collaborative and neutral environment right from the start when potential clients reach out to inquire about my services. Insisting on an initial consultation involving the individual, their spouse, and myself together allows for open communication and establishes a foundation of trust and neutrality. While this approach may not align with everyone's preferences, it is fundamental to enabling effective teamwork and ensuring successful mediation services for clients navigating divorce. Most people feel reassured by this and while I certainly lose some clients as a result of this requirement, it's someting I never will move away from because those who hire me believe in my ethics and dedication to impartial facilitation with a focus on helping the entire family transition peacefully.
Maintaining impartiality is essential for healthy relationships among affiliates, merchants, and internal teams. I prioritize open communication through regular feedback sessions to foster transparency and trust. Additionally, I utilize data-driven decision-making to address conflicts, thereby minimizing emotional responses and focusing on performance analytics to guide resolutions.
