In managing a large municipal water utility, we implemented an innovative smart grid technology to enhance operational efficiency. We introduced advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) with real-time data collection capabilities, allowing us to monitor water usage and system performance more effectively. The integration of smart meters and sensors provided detailed insights into consumption patterns and system anomalies. This technology enabled us to quickly identify leaks, optimize water distribution, and reduce wastage.
