It is not TOO hard to be a licensed pilot, since the steps you have to take are straightforward. You have to pass the Part 107 exam, and one way I did that is through DartDrones, which supplied not only the study material but also venues for me to learn the basics of flying the drone. The cost was a bit expensive for paying to take the test, we're talking a couple hundred dollars for it. I was able to pass with at least a 90%, but it's not the end if you don't since you can always retake it. Passing with at least 70% is a minimum requirement. But that is the second most difficult part. The most difficult part of becoming a licensed pilot is finding clearance from agencies and clients to fly as the drone laws vary from place to place.
