Tactic that converted refunds: We defaulted the self service return flow to Store Credit with Instant Availability instead of Refund, while still allowing refund as a secondary option. UX tweak that moved the needle: A single inline message stating Get credit instantly and reorder today without waiting 5 to 7 days, paired with a one click exchange recommendation based on the returned item. Measured impact: During January returns, store credit and exchanges increased from 34 percent to 57 percent of returns, and average time to re purchase dropped to under 24 hours.
