Communicate early. I personally will go through my design process with my clients. Every start of the project, I will tell them I would do these few things that are important towards achieving the results. 1. Setting the objective of the sprint. 2. Research on best practices 3. Wireframe design (Low fidelity mockup) 4. Design style guides (minimal, usually i will work with a brand agency) 5. Hi fidelity mockups And I will present to them on each point so that they are always updated on the progress of the project. I believe your communication skill is as important as doing good ux work. So build up your communication skills (I am an introvert and I lack the communication skills during my first 1-2 years in the business, learned it the hard way when clients lose confidence in my work).
