As someone who has spent years helping men navigate mental health challenges, I've seen firsthand how important open dialogue is in breaking the stigma surrounding men's wellbeing. When I'm asked about joining discussions like the States of Mind Live event, I immediately think of the countless men I've treated who believed they had to "tough it out" alone. I once worked with a successful executive who came to me only after years of silent suffering. Through compassion, community, and honest conversation, he not only found healing but also became an advocate for others — proof that vulnerability is strength, not weakness. In my experience, events like this are essential because they create spaces where men can see that mental health conversations belong to everyone. My advice to men struggling silently is to take one small step — talk to a friend, a therapist, or even share your story online. Every conversation chips away at the stigma. Healing begins when we stop hiding our pain and start sharing our humanity. I believe that by normalizing these discussions, we build stronger, more emotionally intelligent men who lead with empathy and courage.
Thank you for sharing this. I'd love to be considered for the speaker panel. I'm the CEO of Aitherapy, an AI CBT platform focused on making mental health support more accessible, especially for men who struggle to open up or afford traditional care. I regularly speak about mental health, emotional resilience, and how technology can support men's wellbeing without replacing human connection. I have an active audience across platforms and experience leading discussions around anxiety, self-talk, and the pressures men carry quietly. If you think my perspective could add value to the conversation, I'd be happy to join the event on November 19th. You can email me at ali@aitherapy.care
