As a physician assistant, I implore nurses to lean on the team more. We know that you bear the brunt of busywork. Small miscellaneous jobs like family care often fall to you simply because they're undefined. But these tasks are ideal to be handed off. Personally, I never mind being asked to step in, especially if I'm in the room already. And specialized clinicians like respiratory therapists and dieticians are typically team players willing to help out. So, when you are managing priorities, considering sharing the burden and asking someone else to help out. You need not do it all yourself, and those working alongside you are often more willing to assist than you assume.
