I once worked with a client who struggled with low energy and persistent inflammation. After assessing their lifestyle and dietary habits, I designed a personalized nutrition plan focusing on anti-inflammatory foods and high-quality supplements like Omega Plus. We incorporated more fresh vegetables, lean proteins, and healthy fats while cutting down on processed foods and sugars. Within a few weeks, the client reported significant improvements in energy levels and a noticeable reduction in inflammation. The tailored approach helped them achieve their health goals and equipped them with sustainable habits for long-term well-being. It’s rewarding to see how a customized plan can make such a tangible difference in someone’s life.
I work with each of my clients to create a personalized nutrition plan that focuses on the foods they already enjoy, their goals, cooking skills, and how much time they want to spend in the kitchen. A recent coaching client had a goal to lose 20 pounds, reduce bloating and gut issues, and gain muscle mass. By switching from frequent take-out and prepackaged meals to a whole-food nutrition plan, she lost over 30 pounds in 6 months, eliminated her digestive issues, and increased her endurance and muscle mass. Having a personalized plan sets each client up for success by eliminating the guess work and the dreaded question of, "What's for dinner?"
I work for Mariposa Community Health Center, in Nogales, AZ, as a nutritionist. I am not a registered dietitian. I have a master’s degree in nutrition education from Iowa State University. I counsel clients who are referred to me by Mariposa PCPs. After I take a food recall and food habits history re: feeding. I usually ask the client to add a food rather than eliminate foods. The jest of my suggestions include: 1. Adding more veggies and with every meal if possible and how. 2. Hydrate, drink more water than any other drinks and especially with the meals. 3. Adding the fiber daily to the diet: I suggested to add flax seeds meal and if constipated to add Metamucil no sugar added. 4. I encourage activity: Wok with the client as what activity suits their lifestyle and do it frequently and add weights. These are the general idea. Evey person is different and therefore these suggestions will be individualized.
