Over time, we invested in machines specifically designed for spreading organic fertilizers, allowing us to make better use of the resources we already had on the farm. This shift significantly reduced our chemical fertilizer consumption. Our 2d step involved embracing precision farming techniques. Instead of applying fertilizers uniformly across fields, we began using specially developed maps to target areas that truly needed the nutrients. This meant fertilizers were applied only in zones where there was a deficiency to reduce waste and ensure crops received the exact amount needed for optimal growth. The 3d and perhaps most transformative change was how we approached field monitoring. Previously, our agronomists and their assistants manually inspected the fields. However, as our farm expanded, it became clear that we needed additional tools to help our team manage the workload effectively. That's when we turned to remote monitoring technologies. We discovered the benefits of agro-cameras, along with soil moisture and temperature sensors. We placed these agro-cameras in the most critical areas of our fields, where they regularly capture images and send them directly to our office. This allows us to monitor our crops without physically being in the field, offering a real-time view of what's happening. These cameras have become our "eyes" in the field, operating 24/7, even capturing nighttime images. This has greatly simplified our field monitoring tasks. With this new system, we can observe the phenological stages of our crops and assess their health, which helps us apply fertilizers based on actual needs rather than estimates. Thanks to the combination of cameras, moisture sensors, and weather data, we've optimized our fertilizer usage, cutting costs without sacrificing yield. We're incredibly proud of how we've evolved. Not only are we saving on fertilizer expenses, but we've also achieved high crop yields. We've learned to "communicate" with our fields through innovative tools that have become invaluable to our agronomists. It's efficient, and it's exciting to be at the forefront of modern farming.
