The most rewarding part of conducting medical research is seeing how it can directly improve lives. Coming from a nursing background, I've always been driven by the desire to help people in a practical, meaningful way. Research takes that to another level-it's about finding answers to complex problems, discovering new treatments, and contributing to a deeper understanding of health and disease. What keeps me going is knowing that each study, no matter how small, could one day make a real difference for patients and this is something I try to remind myself of regularly. My master's in trauma science gave me a solid foundation in tackling big questions, and now, as I work through my PhD, it's the curiosity, the problem-solving, and the potential to change lives that keeps me motivated. Even the challenges feel worth it when you think about the bigger picture.

Good day, What's the most rewarding aspect of conducting medical research? As a co-founder of VMeDx, the most rewarding aspect of medical research is the ability to translate complex scientific discoveries into real-world applications that improve patient care and clinical decision-making. Bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical implementation has always been a driving force in my work. At VMeDx, our focus on virtual medical assistance and AI-driven healthcare solutions allows us to leverage cutting-edge research to empower physicians, enhance diagnostic accuracy, and optimize patient outcomes. The true reward comes when we see medical practitioners using VMeDx to make faster, more informed decisions-especially in resource-limited settings where timely interventions can mean the difference between life and death. What motivates you to keep going? At VMeDx, what keeps me motivated is: The potential to improve patient care at scale - Every breakthrough we achieve through AI-assisted virtual medical services means better, faster, and more equitable healthcare. Seeing real-world impact - When physicians provide feedback that VMeDx helped them save time, enhance accuracy, or reduce misdiagnosis, it reinforces our mission. The continuous challenge of solving complex problems - Whether it's improving billing efficiency for medical practices or developing AI algorithms for rare disease detection, there's always a new frontier to explore.
